Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani, the nation's first and only full-service law firm with offices in all 50 states, welcomes Sarah Collins as a Partner in the firm's Rapid City office, strengthening the Intellectual Property practice group.

Before joining the firm, she served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney, acting as lead counsel in more than 160 trials before state and federal courts in various case types, including violent crimes in Indian country, child internet exploitation, firearms offenses, and white-collar crimes. She has experience applying the Federal Rules of Evidence and Criminal Procedure, particularly in Fourth Amendment jurisprudence.

"GRSM is thrilled to welcome Sarah Collins as a Partner in our Rapid City office, bolstering our Intellectual Property practice group. With her extensive experience as an Assistant U.S. Attorney and her proficiency in navigating complex legal landscapes, Sarah brings a wealth of knowledge and a proven track record of success to our team," shared Susan Meyer, Co-Chair of the National Intellectual Property practice group.

She is admitted to practice in South Dakota, the U.S. District Court, the District of South Dakota, and the U.S. Court of Appeals, Eighth Circuit. She earned her law degree from the University of Colorado, Boulder, and her undergraduate degree from Colorado State University.

Protecting intellectual property rights is often the key to maintaining competitive advantage in a changing marketplace. In today's information-based economy, a company's most valuable asset often is its intellectual property, whether patents, trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets, or the highly skilled minds that walk out the door each evening. The IP group sees intellectual property as a "seamless web" in which the overriding goal must be the client's continuing and sustainable commercial success in the marketplace and, if necessary, in the courthouse.
